Entry into the environmental field has been one of Elecnor's strategic gambits.

Environmental development and protection policies, along with the treatment and reuse of waste and sewerage and water purification, are areas in which Elecnor operates through its parent company and through its specialised subsidiary, Hidroambiente. This subsidiary provides turnkey solutions through its own waste treatment engineering developments.

Its subsidiary Audeca specialises in environmental conservation and restoration of impaired environments and provides all manner of services in these areas, such as waste management, forestry interventions, green space maintenance, a range of cleaning services, and infrastructure preservation and maintenance.
